Cluster Revenue Manager


Job Purpose

As a Cluster Revenue Manager, your role will involve establishing and effectively conveying the hostel’s pricing strategy for different market segments, taking into account market intelligence, consumer behavior, and established seasonality. Additionally, you will actively contribute to the development of the hostel’s yearly budget and aid in the creation, updating, and evaluation of the hostel’s sales and
marketing plan. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring that available technology (PMS & RMS) is fully leveraged and comprehended in accordance with the property’s unique business mix and needs, guaranteeing optimal utilization. You will then assess performance across all distribution channels to confirm that a fair market share is attained.

Key Responsibilities
Key areas of responsibility include:
  •  To prepare weekly accurate 3 months forecast for hostel rooms revenue by Market Segment.
  •  To prepare monthly accurate rolling 12 months forecast for hostel beds revenue by Market Segment.
  •  To set and effectively communicate the hostel pricing strategy by market segment with reference to market intelligence, buying patterns and pre-determined seasonality.
  •  To prepare and chair a weekly Revenue Meeting.
  • Collate and distribute meeting minutes of notes on forecast and strategy changes, including weekly action plan.
  • Set monthly targets of upselling revenue for front office and reservations department.
  • Bachelor degree in hostel management or finance.
  • 2 years revenue and yield experience in the hospitality industry
  • Familiar with the hostel operations, available technology (PMS & RMS, IDeaS, SiteMinder, and all distribution channels).
  • Understand the dynamics of regional & local markets, as well as local competitors and events.
